JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/13/2005 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University men's golf team led from start to finish as they captured the . Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's overall two-day total was 624, 16 shots better that runner-up Martin Methodist College.
In addition to the team title, two Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ golfers tabbed the top two spots among individual finishers. Freshman Jake Clay from Texas was the first place medalist with scores of 74 and 77 for a two-day total of 151. Milan, Tennessee native, Cole Floyd finished second with scores of 77 and 75 for a 152 total.
The team standings ending up with Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (624) on top, Martin Methodist (640) in second, Bethel College (650) in third, Belhaven College (694) in fourth, and Martin Methodist JV (735) in fifth place.
