麻豆视频 Baseball Adds Junior College First Baseman

JACKSON, Tenn. - 8/19/2005 - The 麻豆视频 University baseball program, under the direction of new head coach Brent Fronabarger, has signed to finish out his last two seasons college baseball with the Bulldogs. Benchoff will enter 麻豆视频 this fall as a junior and will be majoring in Business Management.

Benchoff, a 6-foot-1 220 lb. first baseman, is transferring to 麻豆视频 from Onondaga Community College. While at Onondaga, he hit .380 as a freshman and then .340 last season as a sophomore. Benchoff, a native of Williamsport, Maryland, prepped at Williamsport High School where he was a three sport star including baseball, football, and basketball.

According to Coach Fronabarger, 鈥淛oel gives us a lot of power and great defense at the first base position.鈥� He adds, 鈥淗e will be a solid run producer in the middle of the lineup.鈥�
