Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Cross Country Signs Covington Runner

JACKSON, Tenn. - 6/7/2005 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Lady Bulldog cross country team has added to the 2005 fall roster. Moss is from Covington, Tennessee and will enter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ this fall as a freshman, majoring in nursing.

Moss, at 5-foot-8, was a four-sport athlete during her career at Covington High School. In addition to cross country, she was a member of the basketball, softball, and track teams. In cross country, Moss received the Best of the West award as a sophomore and also attended state as both a sophomore and senior. Moss also accumulated numerous awards in her other sports. In basketball, she was named All-District and Most Improved, was a three time Gatorade Will to Win award winner, and was the team leader in assists and free throw percentage. Moss was named the best distance runner and earned the Gatorade Will to Win award for her efforts in track and field. Moss was a part of three basketball district championships, one region championship, and a state quarter final finish. She was also a part of two track region runner-up finishes.

On the academic side, Moss was just as successful as a member of the National Honor Society and was a Girl’s State representative. She was also the sophomore and junior class vice president during her high school days.
