DECATUR, Ala. - 5/24/2005 - Six Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Lady Bulldog softball players earned the honor of being named a . Amber Bryant, Kim Fuchs, Holly Haycraft, Mary Kosco, Kylie Sullivan, and Allison Shein each earned this honor after Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ finished their season with a fifth straight trip to the NAIA Softball National Championship in Decatur, Alabama and their fourth NAIA Region XI Championship in past five seasons.
This honor is awarded to the athlete who is a junior or senior with at least a 3.5 GPA and has played in at least 50% of the team's games for the seaosn.
For Shein, this is her fourth NAIA Scholar Athlete honor as she was has received the award twice in volleyball and twice in softball. Shein is a senior Biology major from Lighthouse Point, Florida.
Kosco receives her first scholar athlete award. She is a junior Physical Education and Health major from Herrin, Illinois.
Sullivan receives her first scholar athlete award. She is a junior Sports Management major from Peoria, Illinois.
Haycraft receives her first scholar athlete award. She is a junior Sports Management major from Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Fuchs receives her first scholar athlete award. She is a Sports Management major from Brisish Columbia, Canada.
Bryant receives her first scholar athlete award. She is an Athletic Training major from Tullahoma, Tennessee.
