Jackson, Tenn. - 2/13/2002 - Robert Joseph has been named the TranSouth Conference Player of the Week for the third consecutive week and fourth of the season. Â鶹ÊÓƵ University’s star forward has also recently broken the NAIA record for blocks in a season with his 188 thus far.
Joseph, a 6-7 forward from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, is averaging 21.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 7.23 blocks per game. His totals in points and blocks lead the conference and Joseph ranks second in rebounds.
Having already broken the school record for blocks in a season in just 10 games, Joseph broke the NAIA season blocks record as he passed the 181 mark in Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s five point win over Trevecca. Joseph is only 19 blocks away from the NCAA Div. 1 record of 207 set by David Robinson back in 1986.
