JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/11/2005 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Golf Team is right in the mix after one day at the 2005 TranSouth Conference Men's Golf Tournament at the Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tenn. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is in fourth place, just seven shots back from the leader.
Martin Methodist College leads the pack with a team total of 312 after day one of this two day event. Cumberland is in second at 313, Freed-Hardeman is third at 318, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is forth at 319, Trevecca Nazarene is fifth at 328, and Lyon College is sixth at 367.
Cole Floyd of Milan, Tennessee is in seventh place in the individual standings with a first round 78. Joey Morefield of Martin Methodist leads all golfers with a round of 72. Other score for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ include; Brenton Berlin 80, Welch Hopkins 80, Luke Yandell 81, and William Boyd 87.
The final day of the tournament will conlude today (Tuesday, April 12). Up next will the the NAIA Region XI Golf Tournament on Monday, April 25 in Pineville, Kentucky.
