Huntingdon Athlete Signs with New Women鈥檚 Soccer Team at 麻豆视频

JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/7/2005 - , of Huntingdon, Tennessee, has signed to play her college soccer for the newly formed 麻豆视频 University women鈥檚 soccer team. Webb will graduate from Huntingdon High School this May and will enter 麻豆视频 in the fall and major in English.

Webb, a 5-foot-4 defender, spent the past few seasons playing for the Western Kentucky Club team. Also over the past two seasons, she played softball for Coach Mike Henson at Huntingdon High School. She was a starter for Huntingdon softball for both seasons. Off the field, Webb is a Who鈥檚 Who Among American High School Students, a member of the National Honor Roll, and was a Girl鈥檚 State delegate. She also was vice president of the Beta Club and earned the DAR Citizenship Award.

Brandon Boylan, the head coach of 麻豆视频鈥檚 first year women鈥檚 soccer program says of Webb, 鈥淲hat impresses me the most about Daron is not only her ability to play soccer, it鈥檚 her dedication to playing the sport of soccer.鈥� Boylan adds, 鈥淪he has practiced with college players and has traveled many miles just to play with her club team. That shows great dedication and determination.鈥�
