JACKSON, Tenn. - 3/29/2005 - , a former standout at Jackson Christian School and current third baseman for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University was named the TranSouth Conference Softball Player of the Week, for the week ending March 26. Also for the same period, Kee was named the NAIA Region XI Player of the Week.
Kee, a 5-foot-7 junior from Jackson, Tenn., helped No. 11 Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University to a perfect 4-0 week as she tallied a .667 batting average over the four games. Kee recorded seven RBI for the week, including at least one hit and one RBI in each game.
In the Bulldogs two wins over an Olivet Nazarene team that is receiving votes for the Top 25, Kee produced four hits in seven at bats, scored a run, hit a triple and had four RBI. The third baseman also produced a .917 slugging percentage.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is 24-5-1 on the year and is ranked No. 1 in the latest NAIA Region XI rankings and was ranked No. 11 in last week’s NAIA Poll. This week’s NAIA Top 25 ranking will be released on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. www.naia.org
