JACKSON, Tenn. - 3/8/2005 - , of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University, was named the TranSouth Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 6. Kosco helped Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ to 6-0 week as the Lady Bulldogs, ranked No. 12 in the NAIA, improved to 12-3-1 on the season.
Kosco, a 5-foot-5 junior from Herrin, Illinois, posted a 3-0 record for the week with a 0.64 ERA. She tossed 22 innings while striking out 24 batters and allowing just eight hits. Kosco walked four batters and gave up only two runs in her three games. In Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s 11-0 win at Lambuth, she tossed a complete game shutout, striking out six batters and walking none.
Up next for the Lady Bulldogs will be home games on Friday and Saturday at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Fesmire Field. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will host Ohio Dominican at 2:00 pm on Friday for a double-header and then will host MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) on Saturday for a double-header starting at noon. The double-header schedule for this Wednesday (March 9) versus Bresica has been moved to April 20 at 2:00 pm.
