JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/10/2005 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Lady Bulldogs defeated Blue Mountain College (Miss.) 76-60 on Thursday night. The seventh ranked Lady Bulldogs improved to 23-3 overall and 4-3 in league play. Blue Mountain fell to 9-11 overall and 2-6 in the conference.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ jumped out to a 41-20 halftime lead in the game with the help of 6-fo-16 (.375) shooting from behind the arc in the first half. In the second half, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ failed to make a three pointer (0-7) and shot just .361 from the field. Blue Mountain cut the lead to 12 points with just under seven minutes to play, but Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ surged back for the 16-point win.
The Lady Bulldogs were led by Stephanie Clark with 25 points and 17 rebounds. Merideth Richardson scored 15 points on 4-of-7 shooting from behind the arc. Natanya Smith added 14 points for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. Blue Mountain was led by Sheree McDowell with 19 points and 14 rebounds while Prescilla Berry tallied 18 points.
