OLATHE, Kan. - 1/25/2005 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Lady Bulldogs dropped just one spot to No. 2 in this week's NAIA National Rankings. The Bulldogs received votes at the No. 26 spot.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ sufferred their first loss of the season versus No. 19 Trevecca Nazarene University to snap their NAIA best 17-game winning streak to start the season. Vanguard University (Calif.) (18-1)received 11 of the 12 first place votes to moved ahead of the Lady Bulldogs. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ received the other first place vote. Earlier this season, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ defeated No. 1 Vanguard, No 3 Houston Baptist, No. 5 Oklahoma City, and No. 14 North Georgia twice.
The Bulldogs lost two games on the week to fall to 12-6 on the year. One of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's losses was to No.6 Trevecca Nazarene University, who moved up two spots from last week.
