JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/18/2005 - Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University senior was named the TranSouth Conference Player of the Week for her efforst in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's two wins last week. Clark helped the No. 1 ranked Lady Bulldogs improve to 17-0 on the season.
Clark, a 6-foot-2-inch senior forward from Artesia, New Mexico, helped the NAIA No. 1 Lady Bulldogs remain perfect on the season by posting her 12th double-double of the season in a win over Campbellsville. She leads the NAIA in double-doubles (12) and rebounds per game (11.8). In the win over Arkansas Baptist, she tallied 22 points and missed only one shot in 16 minutes of play. For the week, Clark scored 50 points (25.0 per game), 15 rebounds (7.5 per game), three steals, one block and one assist. Her shooting percentages were very impressive including 20 of 25 (80.0%) from the floor and 10 of 10 (100.0%) from the free throw line. The Lady Bulldogs are now 16-0 on the season.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ now turns their focus to the TranSouth Conference schedule as they open conference play this Thursday at home versus No. 22 Trevecca Nazarene University at 6:00 pm.
