麻豆视频 Sweeps Arkansas Baptist in Basketball Double Header

JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/15/2005 - The 麻豆视频 University Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs both earned wins on Saturday versus Arkansas Baptist College at Fred DeLay Gymnasium. The Lady Bulldogs, ranked No. 1 in the nation, improved to 16-0 with a 117-47 win. The 13th ranked men needed one overtime period to top Arkansas Baptist 72-69 to put their record at 12-4 on the year.

In the women's game, 麻豆视频 led 50-16 at halftime and tallied 64 more points in the second half to earn the win. 麻豆视频 was paced with five players in double figures led by Natanya Smith with 28 points. Stephanie Clark added 22 points, Ena Daniels scored 14 points, Merideth Richardson tallied 12, and Crystal Eason scored 10 points. 麻豆视频 shot 59% from the field including 52% (14-27) from behind the arc in the game.

The Bulldogs trailed 34-28 at halftime and saw Arkansas Baptist jump out to a nine point advantage early in the second half. However 麻豆视频 would rally and take a nine point lead themselves at the 12 minute mark. Like Arkansas Baptist, 麻豆视频 also let a nine point lead slip away as the Buffaloes rallied back to force overtime. In the game, 麻豆视频 shot just 56% (15-27) from behind the free throw line and 33% (6-18) from hehind the arc. Arkansas Baptist made just 39% of the field goals, but 47% (9-19) from behind the arc. The most important three being the one by Alvin Morris with 20 second left to knot the game and send it to overtime. 麻豆视频 was led by Pierry Valmera with 21 points. Marcus Cooper talled 15 points and Michael Palmer scored 11 points.
