JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/9/2004 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University volleyball team swept this weeks TranSouth Conference weekly honors. Gladys Wandera was named the Player of the Week, Nicole Garber was named the Setter of the Week, and Allison Shein was named the Libero of the Week. These three seniors helped lead Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ to a 2-0 record last week, including a win over Freed-Hardeman that earned Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ the TranSouth Conference regular season championship with a perfect 10-0 league record. The Lady Bulldogs, ranked No. 12 in this week’s , are 24-2 on the season.
, a 6-foot-2 senior middle hitter, tallied 48 kills, four service aces, 18 digs, and 12 blocks on the week. She currently leads Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 5.84 kills per game, 62 aces, 496 kills, and 123 blocks.
, a 5-foot-7 senior setter, is a native of Columbus, Indiana. She tallied 87 assists and three aces on the week. She has 970 assists on the year for a 12.93 average per game.
, a 5-foot-7 senior libero, is from Lighthouse Point, Florida. She tallied 28 digs on the week. She leads Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 378 digs (4.34 per game).
The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Lady Bulldogs close out the regular season tonight at home versus Campbellsville University (Ky.). On Thursday, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will be the No. 1 seed in the TranSouth Conference Tournament down in Henderson, Tennessee.
