JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/11/2004 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University volleyball team swept the TranSouth Honors for the second straight week and for the third time this season. Gladys Wandera was named Player of the Week, Nicole Garber was named Setter of the Week, and Allison Shein was named Libero of the Week. This group of three seniors has led Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ to a 13-1 overall record and a 5-0 mark in the TranSouth. They were a huge reason the Lady Bulldogs had an undefeated week, going 3-0, with victories over TranSouth rival Trevecca Nazarene, and nationally ranked teams Georgetown College (#10) and Indiana University-Southeast (#30). Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ currently leads the conference standings and is ranked No. 20 in the NAIA polls.
, a 6'2" Senior from Kakamega, Kenya, was a major player in leading Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ to an undefeated week at 3-0. For the week Gladys averaged 5.00 kills per game, 1.25 digs per game, and 1.17 blocks per game. Wandera leads Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 277 kills, 5.89 kills/game, 50 service aces, and 58 blocks.
, a 5'7" Senior from Columbus, Indiana, averaged 12.55 assists per game (138 assists in 11 games played) and recorded 12 digs and 3 service aces. Garber leads Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 523 assists (12.76 per game)
, a 5'7" Senior from Lighthouse Point, Florida, averaged 4.75 digs per game and attempted 80 passes with only 5 errors. Shein leads Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 208 digs (4.33 per game).
