HENDERSON, Tenn. - 9/7/2004 - Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University volleyball improved to 2-0 overall on the season and 1-0 in the TranSouth Conference with a 3-1 win (30-22, 27-30, 30-28, 30-28) at Freed-Hardeman University.
The Lady Bulldogs found themselves in a tough match from the start as Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ trailed in every game, but rallied in three of the four to earn the win. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was again led by senior middle hitter Gladys Wandera with 30-plus kills on the night.
"Freed-Hardeman is a much improved team from last season," according to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ head coach Brian Dunn. Dunn adds, "They've added some great players and will be a factor in this year's TranSouth race.".
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ plays next on Thursday, September 9th at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ as they host Williams Baptist College (Ark.) at 8:00 pm.
