JACKSON, Tenn. - 5/4/2004 - Â鶹ÊÓƵ University head softball coach Brian Dunn recorded his 400th career collegiate coaching win. Dunn reached the milestone during Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s sweep through the 2004 NCCAA National Tournament. Dunn is now 401-86 in his eighth season at the helm of Â鶹ÊÓƵ softball.
Dunn is also the head coach for the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Lady Bulldog volleyball team where he is 212-57 through six seasons. Earlier in the season, Dunn passed the 600-win milestone with combined wins at Â鶹ÊÓƵ while coaching softball and volleyball. Ironically, Dunn reached his 200th career volleyball win and his 400th career softball win on the same campus and in the same tournament. Like softball, Dunn earned his 200th volleyball win as he led the volleyball team to the NCCAA National Championship last fall, both taking place on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.
Now, Coach Dunn turns his focus to the TranSouth Conference Tournament and NAIA postseason. Under the leadership of Dunn, Â鶹ÊÓƵ has won six straight TranSouth Regular Season Championships. He looks to return Â鶹ÊÓƵ to the NAIA Softball World Series for the fourth straight season and fifth time in six seasons.
