Marksberry Receives Multiple Post-Season Soccer Honors for 麻豆视频

Jackson, Tenn. - 12/5/2001 - 麻豆视频 University senior, Scott Marksberry collected multiple post-season honors for his efforts in 2001. Marksberry was named to the NAIA and NCCAA Academic All-American team, as well as, being selected as a NCCAA All-American.

Marksberry has played soccer for the Bulldogs since 1998 when 麻豆视频 began varsity program. Marksberry, along with seniors Daniel Banks and Cesar Cerdeira have been instrumental in beginning and maintaining a high level of competition for the 麻豆视频 soccer program. Off the field, Marksberry is a Business Administration major and has accumulated a GPA of 3.73 to help earn him the NAIA and NCCAA Academic All-American honors.

As captain of the 2001 Bulldogs, Marksberry helped lead his team to a 10-9 overall record and a first ever appearance in the TranSouth Conference tournament finals. He was selected as the 鈥淏est Offensive Player鈥 for 麻豆视频 as he led the team in assists with six and was second on the team with 20 total points.

Joining Marksberry on the NCCAA All-American Selection was junior goalkeeper Jeff Lean. Lean tallied over 75 saves on the season and posted a 1.38 goals against average.
