JACKSON, Tenn. - 3/23/2004 - Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University's was named to the NAIA Division I All-American first team. also was honored by the NAIA as she was named a Scholar Athlete.
Clark is a 6-foot-2 junior froward from Artesia, New Mexico. In her very first season as a TranSouth Conference player, Clark was a dominate force from start to finish. Clark recorded 15 double-doubles in her 26 games with the Lady Bulldogs. She average 21.1 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. Clark was also named the TranSouth Conference Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year in her first season in the league.
Davison, a 5-foot-7 guard from Dyersburg, Tenn., was named an NAIA Scholar Athlete. Davison played in 31 of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's 36 games this season. She has been at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ four years with a red-shirt season included. Davison has one more year of elgibility remaining, however, will forgoe her final year and graduate in May from Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. Twelve players from the TranSouth Conference were listed as NAIA All-American Scholar Athletes. These players must be at least a junior and carry a GPA of 3.50.
