麻豆视频鈥檚 Abakwue Named NAIA All-American, Kee Named Scholar Athlete

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - 3/31/2004 - , a senior guard for the 麻豆视频 University Bulldogs, was named an NAIA third team All-American. This honor for Abakwue comes on the heels of his first- team All-TranSouth Conference honor. Also for 麻豆视频, senior guard of Huntingdon, Tenn. was named an NAIA Scholar Athlete. These announcements came after the NAIA National Championship game in which the No. 1 seed Mountain State (W. Va.) defeated the defending champions Concordia (Calif.) 74-70.

Abakwue, a 5-11 senior guard from Cedar Hill, Texas, led 麻豆视频 in scoring this season with 17.7 points per game. He shot an amazing 43% (134-314) from behind the arc. His 134 three pointers made ranks first in the TranSouth was good for second in the NAIA. He also ranks third in the conference in points per game and second in three-point percentage. Abakwue is 麻豆视频鈥檚 career three-point record holder as he has made 401 in this career, 115 more that the former record of 286. For Abakwue, this was his first All-American selection.

Kee, a 6-foot-3 senior from Huntingdon, Tenn., was named an NAIA Scholar Athlete. Kee has been with the Bulldogs for four seasons since coming to 麻豆视频 as a freshman walk-on. He is majoring in Math and Physical Education and will graduate in May.
