麻豆视频 Softball Starts Season Ranked No. 9 in the NAIA

JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/24/2004 - The 麻豆视频 University Lady Bulldog softball team enters the 2004 season ranked No. 9 in the . This marks the seventh straight year that the 麻豆视频 softball team has been ranked in the Top 10 of the NAIA. Their highest ranking came at No. 2 in 2001.

The Lady Bulldogs season begins on Tuesday, Feb. 24 as they play host to Williams Baptist College in a double-header starting at 3:00 p.m. at 麻豆视频鈥檚 Fesmire Field. Up next for 麻豆视频 will be the Coca-Cola Classic which will be played at both 麻豆视频 and Lambuth on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27-28.

Coach Dunn and his Lady Bulldogs will challenge many of the top teams in the NAIA this season as they play for a spot in their fourth straight NAIA Softball World Series in May. As you look down the for 麻豆视频, you'll see teams such as No. 2 Mobile (Ala.), No. 4 Olivet Nazarene (Ill.), No. 13 Columbia (Mo.), No. 14 Spring Hill (Ala.), No. 17 Lee (Tenn.), and No.23 Brescia (Ky.).

The 2004 season for the 麻豆视频 University Lady Bulldog softball team looks to continue their stronghold on the TranSouth Conference. 麻豆视频 has won five straight conference championships and would like to make that six by season鈥檚 end. In 1004, Coach Brian Dunn has both pitchers and all but three starters on defense. 麻豆视频 lost their starting catcher and second baseman to graduation and the right fielder transferred. The Lady Bulldogs have added four new players, two transfers and two freshmen, to help fill those voids.

The Lady Bulldogs have high goals for the 2004 season. With a large group of returning players with NAIA World Series experience, and a solid group of new talent added to the team, this squad has a great shot at making a run deep in to the NAIA postseason.
