Wandera Named NCCAA Player of the Week

Jackson, Tenn. - 11/4/2003 - For the second time this season, of 麻豆视频 University has been named the Volleyball Player of the Week. Wandera helped lead 麻豆视频 to the NCCAA National Championship. On the week, 麻豆视频 went a perfect 7-0 to improve their overall record to 33-5.

Wandera, junior middle hitter from Kenya, led No. 25 麻豆视频 to a win over defending NCCAA National Champions and NAIA No. 20 Olivet Nazarene. She was named MVP, NCCAA 1st Team All-American and was named to the All-Tournament 1st Team for her efforts during the week. She tallied 156 kills (6.5/game) in the 24 games played. In four of the seven matches, she recorded 20-plus kills.

麻豆视频 now turns focus to the remainder of the TranSouth season and NAIA postseason. 麻豆视频 has three conference games remaining and are currently sitting in second place in the at 9-2. The TranSouth Conference Tournament will start on Friday, November 14 in Nashville, Tenn. on the campus of Trevecca Nazarene University.
