Dunn Gets Win No. 200

Jackson, Tenn. - 10/31/2003 - Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University head volleyball coach Brian Dunn reached another coaching milestone on Thursday as he earned his 200th career coaching victory. His 199th and 200th wins came in the first round of pool play in the NCCAA National Tournament in Marion, Indiana. Dunn is in his sixth season as Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's volleyball head coach and is 200-53. Currently, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is 29-5 overall and 9-2 in the TranSouth. The Lady Bulldogs sit in second place in the TranSouth regular season standings with three games to play.

Since volleyball began at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in 1998, Dunn has built and maintained a very successful program that has won 79% of its games. Dunn has guided the Lady Bulldog Volleyball program to a 200-53 record over its first five plus seasons. In the short history, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's volleyball program has won two TranSouth regular season championships, one conference tournament championship, and six straight NCCAA MidEast Region Titles. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ also posted a runner-up finished in the 2001 NCCAA National Tournament. With Coach Dunn's leadership, the Lady Bulldogs have participated in five straight NAIA Region XI Tournament appearances. Dunn recruited and coached the NAIA career kills record holder, Lauren Hayden (3,427 kills from 1998-2001).

Dunn is a 1989 graduate of San Diego State University, where he helped lead the baseball team to a Western Athletic Conference Championship and a Top 25 national ranking. His coaching career began at Riverside High School in Parsons, Tennessee where he led the Lady Panther softball team to their first appearance in the state tournament.
