Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Volleyball Breaks Into NAIA Top 25

Jackson, Tenn. - 10/28/2003 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University volleyball team has broken into the rankings this week for the first time since the 2000 season. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has been in the 26-to-30 range numerous times over the past few years since their No. 23 ranking in the preseason poll of 2000.

The Lady Bulldogs are currently 26-5 overall and 9-2 in the conference. At the present, they sit No. 2 in the , one game ahead of Trevecca Nazarene (8-3) with three conference games to play.

Of the five losses this season, three have been to NAIA Top 15 teams, twice to No. 13 Lee and once to No. 5 Dickinson State.

This weekend, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ travels to Marion, Indiana for the National Tournament. This will be the sixth straight trip to the NCCAA Nationals for the Lady Bulldogs. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ opens play on Thursday at 12:00 noon versus Trinity International University. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ best finish in the NCCAA National Tournament was a runner-up finish in 2001. They finished that season 32-6 overall.

In other news surrounding the Lady Bulldogs volleyball team, head coach Brian Dunn is just two wins shy of his 200th career volleyball win. He currently stands at 198-53 over his almost six years at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ.
