Jackson, Tenn. - 10/27/2003 - of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University has been named the TranSouth volleyball co-setter of the week. Garber, who helped lead Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ to a 2-1 week, joined Lee University's Lisa Kidwell with this honor.
Garber, a 5-foot-7 junior from Columbus, Indiana, leads Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 780 assists. She also has 33 aces and 182 digs on the year. Garber ranks third in the conference with 10.69 assists per game.
On the week, Garber averaged 12.2 assists per game. In a 3-0 win over Berry, she tallied 25 assists in two games. In the 3-0 win over Cumberland, she posted 11 in her one game played. On Saturday against No. 12 Lee University, she recorded 37 assists in the 3-0 loss.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will play at Lambuth University on Tuesday, October 28th at 7:00 p.m. The Lady Bulldogs will then close out the week in Marion, Indiana at the National Tournament. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has earned a No. 3 seed in the tournament and will open play on Thursday against Trinity International at 12:00 noon. For Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, this will be their sixth straight appearance in the NCCAA National Tournament.
Also coming up for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will be head coach Brian Dunn's 200th career volleyball coaching win. He currently stands at 197 for his career.
