Jackson, Tenn. - 10/13/2003 - , the setter for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University, has been named the TranSouth Conference Setter of the Week. Garber helped lead Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ to a 4-0 week including two wins over conference opponents Berry College and Trevecca Nazarene. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is currently 22-4 overall and 6-1 in the TranSouth. The Lady Bulldogs are in second place in the league standings, just one game back of Lee University.
Garber recorded a total of 110 assists (13.8 per game) and three service aces on the week. She played in just one game during the 3-0 win over Berry College and tallied 15 assists. In the 3-0 win over Trevecca, the tallied 37 assists in three games, and closed out the week by tallying 58 assists in four games in the 3-1 win at Lindsey Wilson. Garber did not play in the 3-0 win versus Lambuth University.
On the year, Garber leads Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 659 assists (10.5 per game) and has 25 service aces. Her 10.5 assists per game ranks third in the TranSouth Conference.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ travels to Williams Baptist College on Monday night and then will host TranSouth Conference foe Lyon College on Tuesday night Oct. 14 at 7:00 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17 and 18, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will host the NCCAA MidEast Region Tournament. Times and opponents are to be announced.
