Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Cross Country Finished Second in TranSouth Conference

Rome, GA - 11/3/2001 - Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University women's cross country team finished second in the TranSouth Conference. Also, for the first time in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ history, the Lady Bulldogs will have a NAIA National Championship Qualifier as Michelle Hardee will representing Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. The Lady Bulldogs place second behind Berry College and ahead of third place Lee University, fourth place Freed-Hardeman University, and fifth place Lyon College.

The Lady Bulldogs received many honors as Michelle Hardee, Janelle Royer, and Allyson Liberto were all named to the TranSouth All-Conference team. Hardee was named as a NAIA first team all-region, while Royer and Liberto were named NAIA second team all-region. Head coach Gary Johnson was named the TranSouth Coach of the Year.

In only their first season of competition, the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Bulldogs' Cross Country team finished second in the TranSouth Conference. The rest of the field was Berry College in first, Lee Uiversity in third, Lyon College in fourth, and Freed-Hardeman in fifth.

The Bulldogs brought home honors as Chris Winter and Cameron Groll were named to the TranSouth All-Conference team. Gary Johnson was named as the TranSouth Conference Coach of the Year.
