麻豆视频 Volleyball Wins John Brown Tournament

Jackson, Tenn. - 8/30/2003 - The 麻豆视频 University volleyball team has a 4-0 start to the 2003 season. Their four victories in the John Brown Tournament in Siloam Springs, Arkansas earned the Lady Bulldogs the tournament championship.

On Saturday, 麻豆视频 started the day by defeating Oklahoma Wesleyan University 30-20, 28-30, 30-20, 30-21. In the championship game, 麻豆视频 defeated the host team, John Brown University, 30-22, 30-24, 30-23. Gladys Wandera, a junior college transfer from Texas, was named the tournament MVP. Wandera tallied 16 kills in the championship game.

The Lady Bulldogs defeated Dillard University 30-19, 30-22, 30-15 and also topped College of the Ozarks 30-18, 30-19, 30-24 on Friday to open the tournament.

麻豆视频 plays again on Wednesday, September 3 at Bethel College in McKenzie, Tennessee. 麻豆视频's first home match is 2:00 pm Friday, September 5 during the 麻豆视频 University Invitational.
