KANSAS CITY, Mo. - 6/6/2012 - Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University senior was named to the as an honorable mentioned selection. This is the first All-American honor for the Dew in his career and the first Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ player on the All-America list since Corey Rudolph in 2010.
Dew, a 6-foot-1 relief pitcher from Halls, Tenn., had a record setting season for the Bulldogs. Dew finished the year with a 11-1 record with 10 saves and a 2.27 ERA. He led the team in wins, saves, ERA and appearances. Dew set new records for total appearances season (37), relief appearances season (37), total appearances career (77) and total relief appearances career (74). His 10 saves tied his current head coach Brent Fronabarger’s record set back in 1993. His 11 wins place him third all time on the wins in a season list, but his .916 (11-1) winning percentage tied the best mark in a season.
Dew is a former standout at Halls High School and has been a pitcher for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in each of his four seasons in college. During those four season, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has three TranSouth Tournament Titles and four appearances in the NAIA National Championships Opening Round.
