麻豆视频 men鈥檚 golf puts five on TranSouth Scholar Athlete list

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 4/20/2012 - The 麻豆视频 University men鈥檚 golf team put five golfers on the 2012 TranSouth Conference Scholar Athlete list. Charlie Pittman, Brett Barry, Kyle Long, Ryan Mantooth and Ben Waits were each named to this academic honor.

A TranSouth Scholar Athlete is a sophomore, junior or senior with at least a 3.0 GPA. Pittman is a sophomore from Milan, making his first appearance. Brett Barry is a junior from Jackson, making his second appearance on the list. Kyle Long in a junior from Humboldt, making his first appearance. Mantooth is a junior from Fayetteville, Ark., making his second appearance on the list. Ben Waits, is a junior from Newburgh, Ind., making his second appearance on the list.

The men鈥檚 golf team will be played in the 2012 TranSouth Conference Tournament Monday and Tuesday, April 23-24 in Athens, Ala. at the Cane Break Golf Club. 麻豆视频 is looking for a third straight golf title and fifth title in the past seven seasons.
