Jackson, Tenn. - 6/13/2003 - The 2003-04 Â鶹ÊÓƵ University basketball schedules for men and women have been released. Some opponents and times are yet to be determined. Both the men and women boast tough non-conference schedules this season.
The men are playing a home-and-home with Georgetown (Ky.) and McKendree (Ill.) this season. Georgetown was the 2000 NAIA runner-up and are regulars in the NAIA National Tournament. McKendree made the NAIA Final Four a season ago. Other notables on the men's schedule are Edward Waters (Fla.), Hannibal-LaGrange (Mo.), and crosstown rival, Lambuth.
As for the women, they no doubt will have one of the toughest schedules in the NAIA. In this year's revamped Rotary Classic, defending national champion, Southern Nazarene (Okla.) will be at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. Also joining Southern Nazarene, will be Oklahoma Baptist, and Langston. This tournament, scheduled for Dec. 4-6, 2003 at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, looks to be one of the best in the country as three teams from the mighty Sooner Athletic Conference will come down to battle Â鶹ÊÓƵ, Freed-Hardeman, and Lambuth in a three-day showcase. Other notables on the Lady Bulldog schedule are North Georgia and Campbellsville.
