Trinity Christian鈥檚 Bell signs with 麻豆视频 cross country

JACKSON, Tenn. - 12/6/2011 - The 麻豆视频 University men鈥檚 cross country has signed of Trinity Christian Academy for the fall of 2012. Bell will enter 麻豆视频 this coming fall as a freshman and will major in engineering.

Bell, at 5-foot-8 150 lbs., prepped at Trinity Christian Academy where in addition to cross country, he ran track, played soccer and golf. Bell helped lead his cross country team to the state meet four times from 2008-2011 and his track team in 2011. Bell was also a member of the district and region champion soccer team in 2011. He was a cross country region runner up in 2009 and 2011, while also playing for the 2010 golf region championship team. Bell was named all-region (cross country), all-region (soccer), state participant (track), and all-region (golf) during his career. Bell medaled in 44 5K races during his high school career.

麻豆视频 head coach Gary Johnson says, "We are excited to have a student-athlete of Bailey's character join our program. Bailey is a committed Christian, an outstanding student, and a dedicated runner. We look to continue adding student-athletes of this quality to our program. Bailey comes to 麻豆视频 with a great running background, he has competed in cross country, in road races, and completed races up to the half marathon distance. His distance training will serve him well as he makes the transition from high school 5K to college 8K.

Off the course, Bell is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, named to the Principal's List and graduation with distinction.

Bell is the son of Will and Denise Bell of Jackson and is a member of Englewood Baptist Church.
