JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/29/2011 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University softball team has signed of Thompson’s Station, Tenn. for the fall off 2012. Crews will enter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ next fall as a freshman and will major in biology as she works to become a physical therapist.
Crews, a 5-foot-8 first/third baseman, prepped at Independence High School where she played four season of softball. While at Independence, Crews was named all-district, MTSCA All-Academic, and all-district tournament as a junior. She added all-district and an All-MidSate nomination as a sophomore. As a freshman, she was named team MVP, All-Williamson County, all-district and all-district tournament. Crews his .471 as a junior and led the team in doubles and RBI. She hit .450 as a sophomore and .349 as a freshman. On the mound as a freshman, Crews struck out 98 hitters in 84 innings pitched with a 1.43 ERA.
Off the field, Crews was named to the Principal's List and MTSCA All-Academic.
Crews is the daughter of Craig and Jennifer Crews of Thompson’s Station. She is a member of Thompson’s Station Baptist Church.
