Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Ross named TranSouth Player of the Week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 11/29/2011 - of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University has been named the TranSouth Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, for the week ending November 27, 2011. It is the second consecutive week for Ross to earn the award.

Ross, a 5-foot-8 senior guard from Jackson, Tenn., averaged 21 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 3.5 steals per game during the week. Her best game came in a win at Oklahoma Baptist. Ross scored 26 points and added five rebounds and five steals.

For the week, the former North Side High School standout shot 10-23 from the field, hit 3-6 from three-point range, and was 19-24 from the foul line. Ross has scored at least 25 points in four of her last six games.
