No. 2 Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ shuts down The Master's 76-48

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/19/2011 - The No. 2 Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University women's basketball posted a 76-48 win over The Master's (Calif.) College Friday night in the Jackson Rotary Classic. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ improved to 6-0 on the season, while The Master's dropped to 2-3.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ pulled away last in the first half and led 34-21 at the break. In the second half, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ led by as many as 32 points before taking the 28-point win.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was led by Mildred Olumnasi with 14 points. Amy Philamlee added 13 points. Lavanda Ross and Astrid Huttemann scored 11 points each. Huttemann sank a game-high three 3-pointers. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ shot 57 percent from the field, 42 percent (10-24) from long range and 43 percent (6-14) from the free throw line.

The Master's was led by Lauren Labat with 13 points. The Mustangs shot 33 percent from the field, 27 percent (4-15) from behind the arc, and 70 percent (14-20) from the free throw line.
