麻豆视频鈥檚 Sims named volleyball player of the week

HENDERSON, Tenn. - 11/7/2011 - 麻豆视频 University senior was named the TranSouth Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending November 6, 2011.

Sims, a 5-foot-11 senior from Trussville, Ala., became 麻豆视频鈥檚 all-time blocks leader with three blocks in a win over Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College, giving her 543 for her career. She also had 14 kills and six digs in a four-set win over Cumberland (Tenn.) University. For the week, she averaged 2.9 kills per set while hitting at a .255 percentage.

Earlier in the season, Sims passed the 1,000 career kills and 500 career blocks mark. She helped lead her team to a No. 3 seed in this week鈥檚 conference tournament.
