JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/20/2011 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 27-25) to Bethel University Thursday night at Fred DeLay Gymnasium. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ dropped to 10-18 on the season and 5-5 in the TranSouth. Bethel remained atop the conference standings at 10-1 in league play, and a 14-11 overall mark.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was led by Anna Sims with 11 kills in the match. Lydia Wright and Emmie Moroski recorded 16 and 13 assists respectively. Lauren Sprouse and Amanda Deem both tallied 11 digs, while Sims led with three blocks.
Bethel was led by Thaise Vieira with 15 kills and Sashalee Wallen with 10 kills. Shelby Phenix recorded 21 assists, with Cheyanne Kyle adding 15 assists. Vieira led with 16 digs, while Pollyanna Vitel added 15 digs. Wallen led with seven blocks.
Up next for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will be a road match at Lyon (Ark.) on Tuesday, Oct. 26.
