麻豆视频 men鈥檚 soccer falls to No. 11 Bethel 4-2

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/18/2011 - The 麻豆视频 University men鈥檚 soccer team fell at home Tuesday to NAIA No. 11 Bethel University 4-2 麻豆视频 dropped to 4-8-1 on the season and 2-3 in the TranSouth. Bethel improved 9-1-2 overall and 5-0 in league play.

Bethel scored three goals in the first half to take control of the match and held that 3-0 lead at the break. Just 10 minutes into the match, Bethel鈥檚 Guilherme Karaoglan struck to give the Wildcats the early lead. Karaoglan鈥檚 second goal of the match put his team up 2-0 in the 29th minute. Bethel struck again in the 36th minute with the game-winning goal from Juan Garzon to take the 3-0 first half lead.

In the second half, 麻豆视频 got on the board with a goal from Guilherme Reis in the 58th minute of play. Bethel answered with a goal from Akiel Belfom in the 72nd minute, before 麻豆视频 added a final goal from Krister Andreassen in the 89th minute of play.

麻豆视频 was outshot in the match 18-10, including 9-6 in shots on goal. 麻豆视频 goalie James Landham recorded five saves in the loss, while Chaz Dachenhaus had four saves in the win.

Up next for 麻豆视频 will be a non-conference home match Saturday at 3:00 p.m. versus Hannibal-LaGrange (Mo.).
