麻豆视频 men鈥檚 soccer wins second straight

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/20/2011 - The 麻豆视频 University men鈥檚 soccer team posted their second straight win in a 2-0 victory versus Williams Baptist (Ark.) College Tuesday. 麻豆视频 improved to 3-4-1 on the season, while Williams Baptist dropped to 3-4 overall.

麻豆视频 scored first with a goal by former Trinity Christian Academy standout Alex Pratt in the 41st minute of the first half. Sutton Shults recorded the assist as 麻豆视频 claimed the lead. 麻豆视频 led 1-0 at the half.

After another long scoring drought to start the second half, 麻豆视频 was able to add an insurance goal in the 79th minute of play. Dejan Kostic scored on an assist from Guilherme Celli.

麻豆视频 outshot Williams Baptist 20-8 in the match, including 10-3 in shots on goal. 麻豆视频 committed nine fouls, with seven fouls tallied by Williams Baptist.

麻豆视频鈥檚 James Landam recorded three saves in his 90 minutes of work. Hector Vera of Williams Baptist recorded 10 saves in the loss.

Up next for 麻豆视频 will be a road conference match at Mid-Continent (Ky.) October 1. 麻豆视频鈥檚 next home match in not until October 18 versus Bethel (Tenn.). 麻豆视频 will play five straight road matches.
