麻豆视频 volleyball goes 2-2 at Cumberland Classic

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/10/2011 - The 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University volleyball team posted a 2-2 weekend at the Cumberland (Tenn.) University Volleydawg Classic in Lebanon. 麻豆视频 lost to Campbellsville (Ky.) 3-0 and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) 3-0 on Friday. The Lady Bulldogs then rebounded and defeated Fisk (Tenn.) 3-0 and Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) 3-0 on Saturday. 麻豆视频鈥檚 record is now 5-4 on the season.

In the first match, 麻豆视频 fell to Campbellsville 25-15, 25-15, 25-17. 麻豆视频 was led by Savannah Hughes with eight kills. Emmie Moroski added 11 assists, while Anna Sims led with five blocks. Amanda Deem led with two aces for 麻豆视频.

In the second match on Friday, 麻豆视频 lost to Lindsey Wilson 25-20, 25-9, 25-19. 麻豆视频 was led by Hughes with eight kills and Sims with six kills. Moroski added 18 assists, Kami Dickerson and Wainwright led with three blocks, and Lydia Wright led with four aces.

On Saturday, 麻豆视频 defeated Fisk 25-11, 25-13, 25-14. 麻豆视频 was led by Cassidy O鈥橦air with 10 kills. Moroski and Wright led with 15 assists each. Lauren Sprouse led with three aces.

In the final match, 麻豆视频 topped Trevecca Nazarene 25-22, 26-24, 26-24 in three close sets. 麻豆视频 was led by Wainwright with 12 kills. Dickerson and Sims added nine kills each. Moroski led with 31 assists, Sims led with five blocks and Wright led with four aces.

Up next for 麻豆视频 will be a road conference match on Tuesday, September 13 at Mid-Continent (Ky.).
