JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/7/2011 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University men’s soccer team had their losing skid extended to three matches on Tuesday with a 1-0 loss at Christian Brothers (Tenn.) University. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ dropped to 1-4 on the season, while Christian Brothers improved to 1-1.
The two teams played a scoreless first half. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ outshot Christian Brothers 8-4 in the first 45 minutes. However, just 36 seconds into the second half, Christian Brothers scored the game winning goal on a shot from Jose Ferraz. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ outshot Christian Brothers 16-12 in the match, including 4-2 in shots on goal.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s James Landham allowed just the one goal with one save in the match. Jaime Garcia recorded four saves in the shutout for Christian Brothers.
Up next for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will be another tough road contest as the Bulldogs travel to Missouri Baptist on Saturday, September 10.
