麻豆视频 men's soccer doubles up Central Baptist

JACKSON, Tenn. - 8/30/2011 - The 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University men's soccer team posted a 4-2 victory at Central Baptist (Ark.) College. 麻豆视频 improved to 1-1 on the season, while Central Baptist dropped to 1-2 overall.

麻豆视频 scored first on a goal by Guilherme Reis 15 minutes into the match. The score remained 1-0 well into the second half when 麻豆视频 added a second goal in the 68th minute from Dejan Kostic.

Just one minute later, Central Baptist cut the 麻豆视频 lead down to just one with a goal from Ryan Pelser in the 69th minute. 麻豆视频 answered one minute later on a second goal form Reis to put 麻豆视频 up 3-1. That goal capped off a stretch of three goals in the match over a span of just three minutes played.

麻豆视频's Taylor Mayo added the fourth goal for 麻豆视频 in the 87th minute, just before Central tacked on their final goal in the 88th minute.

麻豆视频 senior James Landham recorded six saves and allowed two goals in his 90 minutes of work in net. Chance Murphy had seven saves, allowing four goals, in his 90 minutes of work.

麻豆视频 outshot Central Baptist 15-14 in the match, including 8-2 in the first half. Central Baptist held the edge in the second half 12-7.

Up next for 麻豆视频 will be two matches in the 麻豆视频 Soccer Classic on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 2-3. 麻豆视频 will face Reinhardt (Ga.) and No. 2 Notre Dame (Ohio).
