麻豆视频 women鈥檚 basketball adds transfer for 2011-12 season

JACKSON, Tenn. - 8/30/2011 - The 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University women鈥檚 basketball team has signed . Coney will join 麻豆视频 this semester but will not play until February of 2012, the start of 麻豆视频鈥檚 second semester.

麻豆视频 head coach Mark Campbell says, 鈥淲e have been talking to Christina for a year since she finished at Forrest Park. After sitting out a year, she has decided to finish her degree at 麻豆视频. She fits into our school鈥檚 mission and has a chance to be one of the best players we have had in recent years. I am really excited about Christina being a Lady Bulldog."

Coney, a 5-foot-11 guard, comes to 麻豆视频 from Forrest Park (Mo.) Community College. She was named NJCAA All-American and led the nation in scoring at 26 points per game. Coney also averaged 12 rebounds per game and made 44 three pointers. She also shot 50 percent from the field and 78 percent from the free throw line.
