JACKSON, Tenn. - 8/3/2011 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University volleyball program has added of Orange, Calif. for the 2011 season. Dickerson will enter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ this fall as a freshman.
Dickerson, a 6-foot middle hitter, prepped at El Modena (Calif.) High School where she played volleyball, basketball, and ran track and field. As a senior volleyball player, she was named MVP, earned the Coach's Award, named Most Valuable Offense and was selected team captain. Dickerson added all-league and earned the Coach's Award as a junior, Coach's Award as a sophomore and most improved as a freshman. Dickerson helped lead her club team, the 18 Impact Kolbe, to a runner-up finish in the Summer Soiree in 2010. She also played for the Golden West 18-Asics SCVA national qualifier team in 2011.
Dickerson was named the Athlete of the Meet, Most Valuable Jumper and team captain in track and field.
Off the court, Dickerson is a member of the National Honor Society, a scholar athlete and a member of the Interact-Publicity board.
Dickerson is the daughter of Chip and Susan Dickerson of Orange, Calif. and is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Orange.
