麻豆视频 men鈥檚 basketball signs Koguashvili for 2011-12

JACKSON, Tenn. - 8/2/2011 - The 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University men鈥檚 basketball team has signed for the 2011-12 season. Koguashvili, from the Republic of Georgia, will enter 麻豆视频 this fall as a freshman and will major in business management.

麻豆视频 head coach David Niven says, 鈥淚 could not be happier that Giosha has decided to attend 麻豆视频. He will make an immediate impact on our program. Giosha is a very skilled and athletic guard that has a great understanding of how to play. He is a good enough ball handler to play point guard, but will see most of his minutes on the wings. Giosha is another player that sees the floor and passes really well. He is a playmaker and will be exciting to watch this fall.鈥

Koguashvili, prepped at Hamilton Heights (Tenn.) Christian Academy where was an exchange student for two years. He played basketball and averaged 17.9 points and grabbed 5.4 rebounds per game. He also helped his U17 club team to a national championship in 2009. Koguashvili was named the Most Talented Player in 2009. He played for Bill Eller at Hamilton Heights.

Koguashvili is the son of David Koguashvili and Katrine Tabatadze.
