Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ men’s basketball adds Duncan for 2011-12

JACKSON, Tenn. - 7/19/2011 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University men’s basketball team has added to the roster for 2011-12. Duncan, a native of Tuscaloosa, Ala., will enter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ this fall as a freshman and will major in electrical engineering.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ head coach David Niven says, "We are really excited to have Will join our team next year. Will is going to have a chance to get better this season behind some veteran guards. Will shoots it well and has a good understanding of the game."

Duncan, a 6-foot-2 guard, played his high school basketball for the Tuscaloosa Warriors. He helped lead his team to the ACSC regular season title in 2010. Duncan was named team captain three times while earning all-conference honors three times. As a senior, Duncan averaged 22.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.1 steals per game. He posted career highs of 35 points and 13 rebounds while producing 14 career double-doubles. Off the court, Duncan was the National Honor Society President, graduate of the Forerunners Leadership Program and earned the Christian Character Award.

Duncan is the son of Kent and Katie Duncan and is a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
