Three 麻豆视频 teams earn NAIA Scholar Team awards

JACKSON, Tenn. - 7/8/2011 - 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University put three teams on the list for the 2010-11 academic school year. Women鈥檚 cross country, men鈥檚 cross country and softball each earned the honor.

For a team to be considered for the NAIA Scholar Team award, it must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average for the school year. The team grade point average includes all varsity student-athletes certified as eligible.

The women鈥檚 cross country team, under the leadership of head coach Gary Johnson, posted a 3.67 team GPA which ranked eighteenth best among all 934 NAIA teams that were honored. The men鈥檚 cross country team posted a 3.33 GPA.

麻豆视频鈥檚 softball team, under the leadership of head coach Heather Hall, posted a team GPA of 3.17.
