JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/6/2011 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University baseball is ranked No. 13 in this week’s NAIA Coaches’ Poll. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ dropped six spots after being ranked No. 7 last week. The No. 7 ranking was the highest since Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ reached No. 4 in 2002.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ went 1-3 last week, with all games coming on the road against ranked teams. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ fell 6-5 in 13 innings at No. 23 Belhaven (Miss.) and then went 1-2 in a TranSouth series at No. 18 Cumberland (Tenn.).
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is currently 25-8 on the season and 9-3 in the TranSouth. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is tied for second in the conference standings. The Bulldogs play two non-conference road games on Wednesday before coming home for a key TranSouth weekend series with league leader Martin Methodist (Tenn.) with a 13-2 conference record.
