Iowa native joins Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ women’s soccer program

JACKSON, Tenn. - 3/31/2011 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University women’s soccer team as signed of Ankeny, Iowa. Stiles will enter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ this fall as a freshman and will major in education.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ head coach Brandon Boylan says, "Bethany is a very good all around player. We like her versatility and we think she will be able to fill any of our needs. Bethany is a great fit for our university and soccer program. Bethany comes from a great family and we are very excited she is a part of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and our soccer team."

Stiles, at 5-foot-5, played defender, mid-fielder and forward in high school. She prepped at Ankeny (Iowa) High School where she played soccer and basketball. She helped lead her soccer team to the state semifinals as both a sophomore and junior. Stiles was named Most Improved Player as a junior. Her team completed a perfect regular season at 15-0. During that regular season, the team only allowed two goals and was ranked No. 8 in the nation.

Stiles is the daughter of Todd and Julie Stiles of Ankeny and is a member of First Family Church.
