麻豆视频鈥檚 Davis named TranSouth Pitcher of the Week

JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/22/2011 - of 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University has been named the TranSouth Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week. This award is for the week ending February 20, 2011.

Davis, a 6-foot-3 sophomore from Parsons, Tenn., posted a 2-0 record on the week. Davis closed out the week with a complete game, two-hit shutout over Huntington (Ind.), a game 麻豆视频 won 1-0. He struck out eight batters in the game, while walking none. Davis opened the week with his first start of the season, going five innings for the win. In the win over St. Catharine (Ky.), he allowed just four hits and one run, while striking out five batters. On the week, the former USJ standout posted a 0.75 ERA in 12 inning pitched for the two wins. He tallied 13 strikeouts to just two walks.

麻豆视频 is 8-0 on the season and ranked No. 16 in the NAIA preseason rankings.
